Product description Konus designed their Konustart-700 60mm f/11.7 Refractor Telescope to give beginner astronomers a complete astronomical platform for looking at the planets and to make detailed observations of the Moon, while providing them with the tools to use the scope as a powerful spotter for terrestrial viewing. Its 60mm objective and 700mm focal length make this a highly portable and easy-to-handle scope, while the adjustable aluminum tripod provides a stable platform for users of various heights. To resolve the clearest images possible, the focuser is equipped with a motor to achieve a fine focus not typically possible manually. Two eyepieces are provided that produce 88x and 35x, and when used with the 2x Barlow lens the magnification of each eyepiece is doubled to add to the scope's versatility. For terrestrial viewing, Konus includes a 1.5x erect-image 90° diagonal which not only corrects the image horizontally and vertically, but provides a more comfortable viewing position while boosting the eyepiece magnification slightly without affecting its eye relief. - Optical Performance
