Product description Quick Listen: Korg Volca Beats Read More - Quick Listen: Korg Volca Beats
The Volca Beats from Korg is an analog rhythm machine featuring powerful drum sounds and an Electribe-style loop sequencer. Additionally, its Sync in and out ports allow clock sync of multiple instruments from the Volca series as well as Korg's Monotribe. It also has a MIDI input for note entry, as well as external sync and control from your DAW. The built-in speaker and optional battery power allow you to take the Volca Beats anywhere. The Volca Beats' real analog drum sounds were created with reference to classic rhythm machines. The user interface features individual knobs for each of six analog parameters. The PCM sound engine further expands the possibilities. The Electribe-style 16-step sequencer features eight memory patches. Its Stutter function generates repeated triggers that dramatically change the sequence. The Active Step function generates new drum lines by removing or inserting steps. The Step Jump function instantly plays only the step you're pressing for on-the-fly improvisation and remixing. - Sync In and Out
- Using the sync jack, you can synchronize playback with multiple Volcas or with a Monotribe. You can also use the "SyncKontrol" iPhone app to wirelessly control tap tempo, swing settings, and synchronized playback with iOS music apps via WIST.
- MIDI Input
- The MIDI input connector allows you to synchronize Volca Beats with other devices, as well as play it from any MIDI keyboard. You can also send note messages from your DAW and use the Volca as an analog sound module.
