Product description The CVG-VP14 Port Extender from Kramer is a port extender that offers four RS-232 ports. One port is used for control functionality. The other ports access up to three remote-control units. Therefore, one device can be controlled from three sources. In another configuration, one remote control device can control three separate units. Dip switches allow the users to configure the unit specifically for their applications. - Configuration 1
- This unit can be configured to control one device such as a matrix switcher from up to three separate locations.
- Configuration 2
- The device can be configured to control up to three devices from one remote location such as a PC.
- Intercommunication
- It can be configured to implement communication between several serially controlled devices.
