Product description The Kramer Electronics PL-18 Control Port Expander adds RS-232, IR, and relay ports for RS-232 controllers like RC-2, RC-62, and RC-63. It has 2 bi-directional RS-232 serial ports for sending and receiving RS-232 control signals. In addition, the expander includes 4 relay contact closure ports that let you control AV related systems from a distance for performing actions such as raising and lowering drapes, the screen or the projector.
With the 1/3 rack mount space, the port expander can be mounted side by side in 1 RU rack space of the optional RK-3T rack adaptor. It also includes a USB port for firmware upgrade and two 3.5mm jacks, which connect IR emitters for extended reach of IR control. - Adds RS-232, IR, and relay ports for RS-232 controllers like RC-2, RC-62, and RC-63
