Product description With its continued stellar reputation in high-definition distribution, Kramer once again raises-the-bar of excellence with its TP-205A 1:5 UXGA, Audio and Line Transmitter and Distribution Amplifier. Designed and built with both professional video facility installation pundits and presentation/multimedia enthusiasts in mind, this unit offers twisted pair (RJ-45) signal conversion from a 15-pin HD UXGA computer graphics video, stereo analog and S/PDIF audio, and RS-232 control signals. It's capable of distributing up to (5) identical twisted pair outputs, and also offers (1) loop-through output for each (UXGA, analog and S/PDIF audio) input signal. The TP-205A is compatible with HDTV signals, supports resolutions up to WUXGA and 1080p, offers a system range of up to 320' (100 m), and works in conjunction with Kramer's compatible (i.e. TP-122, TP-46) receivers. It's ideal for sending computer graphics video and audio signals over shielded or unshielded twisted pair (STP/UTP) cabling such as standard CAT5 (Ethernet network cable). It features sync polarity settings for improved transmission and twisted pair compatibility - its Power Connect System requires only (1) powered unit in a connected system. With its superb signal reliability and twisted pair signal technology, the Kramer TP-205A is an ideal solution for long distance computer graphics cable transmission and distribution often required by broadcast studios, educational, security and military installations. In addition, it offers a low-profile design of only 1U that can be mounted in a standard 19" equipment rack with the optional RK-1 adapter. Note: This unit must be used in conjunction with a compatible receiver (i.e. TP-122, TP-46) to achieve a complete solution. - Twisted Pair (RJ-45) Signal Transmission
- Twisted pair (RJ-45) cabling uses 2 conductors (forward and return) that are twisted together in a specific fashion (pitch/twist rate per meter) to cancel out electromagnetic interference and crosstalk (noise) from external sources and its environment. This technology enables a system range up to 320' (100 m) at a maximum resolution up to WUXGA and 1080p HDTV. For best results use Kramer's BC-SXTP Shielded Twisted Pair (STP) skew-free cables for transmitting VGA signals, and BC-STP (STP) non-skew cables for digital signals.
- Supports WUXGA and HDTV Signals
- Its video transport circuitry supports computer graphics video signals with maximum resolutions up to WUXGA and HDTV/1080p.
- Stereo and S/PDIF Audio
- This unit will accept unbalanced stereo audio on the 3.5mm mini-jack input and S/PDIF audio on the RCA input connector then simultaneously output the same audio signals to (5) twisted pair outputs and (1) stereo audio and (1) S/PDIF audio output.
- RS-232 Control
- If an RS-232 control signal is detected from the RS-232 terminal block, this unit will convert the signal and output it on (5) identical twisted pair outputs.
- Power Connect System
- Within a transmitter/receiver system, only one unit requires power when connected devices are within a 150' (50 m) range of each other; 12VDC power is then distributed through the CAT5 cable.
- Sync Polarity Settings
- Horizontal and vertical sync polarity switches are provided for improved HDTV compatibility with each CAT5 output.
- Large Venue Solution
- The TP-205A is an ideal solution for schools, transportation hubs, hospitals, financial institutions, commercial/retail installations, virtually any large venue that requires high-quality, long distance twisted pair video distribution.
- Rackmountable
- Aside from its rugged chassis, (2) units can be rack mounted side-by-side in a 1U rack space with the optional RK-1 adapter.
