Product description Featuring one HDMI input and eight HDMI outputs, the Kramer VM-8H 1:8 HDMI Distribution Amplifier reclocks and equalizes an HDMI input signal and distributes it as eight identical outputs. It allows you to view your HDMI source, such as a Blu-ray player, on up to eight displays.
When you connect a display, it becomes active and a corresponding LED on the front panel lights up to confirm it active status. All connected displays are active and will show the distributed signal. Next to the LEDs are "Select" and "Read" buttons that allow selecting and storing EDID information for efficient plug-and-play operation with HDMI displays. EDID refers to the timings -- such as audio, control, color space, signal type, display technology (like TFT, etc.), and many more -- that a display supports and the VM-8H can accommodate. Storing EDID for a particular display will allow for quicker recognition of the display when you plug it in again and again in the future.
The VM-8H is HDCP compliant, meaning it will play HDCP-encrypted content. Featuring 3D pass-through capability, it also supports 3D signals connected on input, and it will pass these signals to your displays as they are, in 3D format. The The VM-8H can be used table top and also fits standard 19" racks, and included a set of 1U rack ears. This DA supports 100-263V worldwide power input and can be used anywhere in the world if you incorporate the right endplug adapters, sold separately. - Key Features
