Product description Connect the Contemporary SmartCode Deadbolt Lock from Kwikset to a Z-Wave controller to remotely manage your home's security. The lock uses a motor-driven deadbolt latch as well as a SmartKey cylinder with a stainless steel side locking bar, racks, and pins for maximum strength. The side bar design also protects against lock bumping and tampering for additional security. A keypad with push buttons enables you to access your home without the hassle of carrying keys, however, there is a keyhole entry for a key override in case the batteries die. The keypad can be illuminated for use in dark rooms or at night time.
When used with a Z-Wave controller, the lock can be opened and closed remotely, and it can be programmed to open and close based on a customized schedule. The lock supports up to 30 users, and each user can check the door lock status as well as receive text and email message alerts using a web-enabled device. A status LED on the rear of the lock indicates the lock's setting and provides a low-battery warning. The lock features a Grade 2 security rating, and it is waterproof for outdoor use. Additionally, the lock is designed in a contemporary style to blend into your house's architecture, with a satin nickel finish for matching your existing hardware. - Z-Wave technology for remote access
