Product description Compatible with the early 2015 & 2016 models of Apple's 12" MacBook, which is only equipped with one USB 3.0 Type-C port, the Docking Station for the 12" MacBook provides users with two USB 3.0 Type-C ports, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one USB 3.0 Type-C power delivery port, one HDMI port, one Gigabit Ethernet port, an SD & microSD card reader, a 3.5mm audio port, LED status indicator lights, and a security slot that is compatible with Kensington locks.
While this dock does provide MacBook users with a plethora of connectivity options, bear in mind it interfaces with your system using its lone USB 3.0 Type-C port, which will no longer be available for use. General Features - Kensington Security Slot
- Secure your MacBook with most standard Kensington laptop locks. A solid steel bar inside the LandingZone helps add security to your computer.
- Five Port USB 3.0 Hub
- With two USB 3.0 Type-C ports, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, and a USB 3.0 Type-C power delivery port, the built-in USB hub allows you to connect power, printers, hard drives, and other devices.
- HDMI
- Connect almost any HDMI display to your MacBook with this port.
- Audio Port
- This 3.5mm jack supports the docking of speakers and headsets.
- Gigabit Ethernet Port
- This port equips your MacBook with Gigabit Ethernet functionality.
- Status Indicator Light
- This LED shows if your MacBook is powered on or connected without having to open the lid.
