Product description Between the several components included in this system and the varied mounting options they offer, this LanParte FANS Series Cage Kit provides a comprehensive support system for Sony a7 series cameras. The kit features a cage, baseplate, ARRI-standard dovetail plate, top handle, 1/4"-20 accessory mount, and 15mm rods.
The ARRI-standard dovetail plate, which secures to the bottom of the baseplate, allows you to use the system with all ARRI-standard 19mm bridgeplates, including those integrated in shoulder rigs such as the LanParte CSR-01. You'll be able to mount the entire rig onto such a shoulder rig by simply sliding it on.
The cage features a convenient method for attaching/removing your camera. A small, Arca-Swiss-standard quick-release plate first secures to the bottom of the camera and then inserts into a slot on the cage along with the camera. The plate is rubber-padded for non-slip attachment. The cage is designed specifically for a7 series cameras and leaves open access to all ports and controls. It provides 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded accessory mounting holes all around and also has a NATO rail integrated on top for attaching the included top handle or other NATO rail accessories.
The top handle allows you to comfortably carry the system from place to place and it also provides multiple different mounting points. It offers a cold shoe mount on top for attaching microphones or other accessories. It has ARRI-standard accessory mounts (which have safety pinholes) on the top and sides. It has a 15mm rod port for inserting an additional rod and attaching more accessories. And it also has a sideways 15mm rod clamp. The included short 15mm rod and rod-mount accessory adapter with 1/4"-20 screw secure into this rod clamp to support monitors, lights, or other 1/4"-20-mount accessories.
The baseplate offers 15mm LWS rod support, and two 12", 15mm rods are included. Both the baseplate and the dovetail plate provide 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 tripod-mount threaded holes on the bottom.
