Product description Get the best possible crispness and sharpness out of your scanner with help from the SilverFast Resolution Target from LaserSoft Imaging. Designed for use in combination with SilverFast scanning software (available separately), this USAF-1951 transparent test target fits into 35mm slide holders and enables you to easily determine your scanner's maximum usable resolution. As a second important application, the SilverFast target helps you find the optimum sharpness settings for a chosen resolution. You can also find the best compromise between high resolution and sharpness, as well as determine which parts of your scanner are particularly sharp or blurry. The SilverFast resolution target can be used with any film or flatbed scanner (separately available transparency adapter required) and with any SilverFast scanner software version.
The structure and elements of the SilverFast resolution target are based on the USAF-1951 standard. The target's design provides a stepped and numbered assortment of small elements, each consisting of black bars of precisely defined width and spacing. To determine the maximum usable resolution of your scanner, do a transmissive raw scan of the target. On the scanned image, look for the smallest element in which you can differentiate between two adjacent bars with your eyes. Table of Contents
