Product description The DM84 from Lectrosonics is an eight-input, four output matrix mixer, with extensive DSP both on input and output, and includes automatic feedback suppression, an automatic mixing algorithm and remote control capabilities. The unit is suitable for sound reinforcement applications, recording in boardrooms, courtrooms, worship centers, distance learning systems and hotels, and can function stand-alone, or as part of a larger LecNet2 system. DSP includes multiple filters, ADFE (automatic digital feedback eliminators), compressors, limiters and delay on every channel to facilitate signal processing for every possible situation. Processing at the inputs is able to compensate for microphone placement and signal variations, while each output has individual filters and a proprietary, adaptive time constant compressor/limiter to safely feed recorders or power amplifiers. The mixer matrix allows inputs to behave differently at each output. For example, a microphone input can be part of NOM (Number of Open Microphones) attenuation process, while operating as a direct signal for recording at a different output. Software is included with the DM84 and is used primarily for setup, with the configuration saved on file and into the unit's memory for actual operation. Once configured, the DM84 runs without a host computer. Extensive control capability is available with an intuitive command structure to allow control with USB or RS-232 connections or touch-panel control systems. Remote control, monitoring and setup can also be done via Ethernet connections. Up to 128 macros can be stored in internal memory. - Eight-in/four-out digital matrix processor in a stackable configuration
- Programmable front panel level controls with activity LEDs
- Six filters, six feedback eliminators (ADFE), compressor and delay on each input
- Nine filters, delay and compressor/limiter on each output
- USB and RS-232 interfaces for setup and comprehensive remote control
- Balanced, floating differential inputs and outputs
- Digital I/O ports for "daisy chaining" and to connect other LecNet 2 devices
- Proportional gain auto mixing algorithm with AutoSkew
- 128 global macros, each with up to 64 commands, and 115 characters per command
