Product description The IFBT4-VHF Frequency Agile IFB Transmitter from Lectrosonics is designed for use in broadcast, motion picture, theater, and stage applications where extended operating range and high quality audio are essential. It can be used as a stand-alone device, or it can be patched directly into a popular intercom system. Featuring 50mW output power and a design based on Lectrosonics patented Digital Hybrid Wireless system, the transmitter pilot tone signal controls the audio squelch on the IFBRA-VHF receiver (sold separately) to eliminate noise when the transmitter is turned off. This prevents the receiver from locking onto false signals. An LCD display is backlit for use in dimly lit conditions and is also visible in direct sunlight. Furthermore, DIP switch settings on the rear panel provide direct compatibility with RTS and Clear Com intercom systems. A preamp stage is also included in the input stage and allows direct connection to dynamic microphones in stand-alone applications. Moreover, direct output at studio line level can also be fed directly into the transmitter. Finally, the transmitter is housed in a strong, machined-aluminum case with an electrostatic powder coating and an anodized finish. It is powered by 6 to 18 VDC via a locking connector on the rear panel. Additionally, the transmitter is supplied with a 1/4 wavelength whip antenna, which is a detachable, galvanized-steel cable that also connects to a locking 50 ohms BNC connector on the rear panel. The AC power supply is also included.
