Product description - Introduction to LEE Filters
The LEE Filters 100 x 100mm #15 Deep Yellow Filter is a basic contrast filter, primarily for use with black and white film, that very strongly darkens skies and blues, increases contrast, and is often used for outdoor photography to emphasize contrast and shadows. There is an approximate 1.5x filter factor with this filter, requiring an increase of 0.6 stop for normal exposure.
This filter is constructed from optically correct resin, measures 3.9 x 3.9" / 100 x 100mm, and is compatible with the LEE 100mm filter holder. - Dark yellow contrast filter for black and white film strongly darkens skies and blue tones, cuts through haze, and increases overall contrast.
- Commonly used for landscape photography to emphasize blue skies and give clouds more visual depth. Also used for aerial and micro photography applications where added contrast can be used to enhance detail.
- Constructed from optical resin for maintained image quality and clarity.
- Filter measures 3.9 x 3.9" / 100 x 100mm, is 2mm thick, and is compatible with the LEE 100mm filter holder.
