Product description The LEE Filters Seven5 Black and White Filter Set is an introductory kit containing three of the most useful filters for adjusting contrast and tonal response when shooting with black and white film. The #8 yellow filter helps to subtly darken skies and improve overall contrast; the #11 yellow-green filter darkens red and blue tones and lightens foliage; and the #23A light red filter markedly increases contrast and is well-suited for dramatic outdoor photography. Each of the filters measure 75 x 90mm, are compatible with the LEE Seven5 filter holder, and are constructed from optically correct resin for maintained image quality and clarity. Additionally, this set also includes a soft wrap for protecting the filters when not in use. - Designed for black and white photography, this kit contains three basic contrast filters as well as a soft wrap to protect the filters during travel and storage.
- #8 yellow filter slightly darkens skies, helps to cut through haze, and improves overall contrast. It is the most common contrast filter for black and white photography, and produces an accurate tonal range and compensates for the blue sensitivity of panchromatic film.
- #11 yellow-green filter moderately darkens blue and red tones, lightens green tones, and helps to subtly increase overall contrast. It also helps to better simulate a natural tonal response when working with panchromatic film under tungsten lighting conditions.
- #23A light red filter strongly darkens blue tones, increases overall contrast, and is often used to emphasize shadows and clouds. It offers greater contrast than a #21 orange filter and is especially well suited to photographing skies and producing dramatic effects when shooting outdoors.
- Each of the filters are constructed from optically correct resin, measure 3.0 x 3.5" / 70 x 90mm, and are compatible with the LEE Seven5 filter holder.
