Engineered with the technology that users have come to expect from the brand, the Trinovid features P40 phase-corrected prisms treated with their HighLux system to limit internal light diffraction and eliminate interference for improved clarity, sharpness, and contrast. The objective lenses are fully multi-coated with Leica's HDC coatings for maximum light transmission through the optical path to ensure accurate color fidelity and high-contrast views, especially in challenging lighting conditions. These technologies work together and complement each other to produce an immersive observational experience with bright images that are clear and sharp across a field of view that approaches wide angle. To capture extremely close-up views of small birds, bugs, butterflies, and insects, the Trinovid is equipped with a powerful 10x magnification and an exceptionally short 3.3' minimum focus distance.Built to withstand the rigors of the outdoors, the chassis is made of a lightweight and durable aluminum-alloy wrapped in a protective slip-resistant rubber armor. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof, and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes or conditions. A wide interpupillary adjustment range, generous ±4dioptric correction, long 16mm eye relief, and four-position click-stop eyecups ensures easy and comfortable use by most people.
