Product description The 30-90mm f/3.5-5.6 Vario-Elmar-S ASPH. Lens from Leica is a medium format zoom lens with a 35mm focal length equivalency of 24-72mm. For a medium format lens, it is particularly compact and lightweight offering high image quality across its versatile zoom range. It is the only zoom lens in the Leica S-system.
The optical design comprises 14 elements in 11 groups. Nine elements are made from glass with anomalous partial dispersion. Three low-dispersion fluoride elements correct chromatic aberrations. Two aspherical surfaces on the rear element and another on the front lens of the second group maintain consistent imaging performance and minimal distortion at shorter distances.
