Product description Cinema Lens Care and Maintenance Read More Designed for use with digital cinema cameras, the full frame Leica 21mm M 0.8 f/1.4 Full Frame M-Mount Lens gives your images the classic analog curving focus roll-off for a more natural dimensional perception. The line of M 0.8 M-Mount cine lenses can be used with M-Mount cameras and professional cine cameras such as RED, ARRI, and Sony VENICE with appropriate adapters. Also, since they are compact and light they can also be used with gimbals, drones, and underwater cameras where heavier lenses become impractical. The line of M 0.8 lenses share similar characteristics such as a 77mm filter thread, an 80mm front diameter, a 36mm full frame image circle, and 0.8 MOD standard cine focus gear rings, making the lenses easily interchangeable in the field. The 21mm lens has a close focus of 27", a maximum aperture of f/1.4, it weighs only 1.1 lb, and features lens markings in feet. - Classic Analog Image Character
- The lenses offer a sharp and focused center with gradual and pleasing falloff of contrast and light toward the edges, leading the view to the image center as well as adding dimensionality to the scene.
- Small and Lightweight
- The compact size of the Leica M 0.8 lenses is made possible by retaining the Leica M-Mount. Each lens has a standardized 80mm front diameter with a 77mm screw-in filter thread. The 0.8 module gear rings allow lens motors and follow focus systems to work seamlessly.
- Camera Compatibility
- The Leica M 0.8 lenses use the Leica M-Mount to maintain their small size. The Sony VENICE and both ARRI ALEXA Mini and AMIRA cameras can use the M-Mount adapter from Leitz. RED cameras can use the RED interchangeable Leica M-Mount along with mechanically modified OLPFs available from Leitz. Sony E-mount cameras like the a7 series can be used with adapters, and the Leica SL camera can also be used with these lenses.
