Basic Laptops The 11.6" 100e Chromebook 2nd Gen from Lenovo is an education-focused system that's designed for students and teachers. It comes with G Suite for education and is built to withstand the wear and tear of everyday use. Specs-wise, it's powered by a 2.1 GHz MediaTek 8173C processor, 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and an integrated Imagination PowerVR GX6250 chipset. Its 11.6" display has a 1366 x 768 resolution for crisp and clear HD playback.

Thanks to its 180° hinge, you can lay the display flat for an easier time sharing whatever is on-screen. Other integrated features include Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 4.1, 5 Gb/s USB 3.0 Type-A and Type-C ports, an SD card slot reader, a 720p webcam, a microphone, dual 2W speakers, and a combo audio jack. The operating system installed is Chrome OS.

  • With up to 10 hours of battery life, the 100e Chromebook (2nd Gen) can last an entire school day and then some, so there's no need to haul around power cords and adapters.
    Durability
  • This Chromebook is military-specification tested with reinforced ports and hinges and can withstand drops up to 29.5". It also features a spill-resistant keyboard with mechanically anchored keys.
    Chrome OS
  • Using Linux as a base, Google designed Chrome OS to work exclusively with web applications. The user interface takes a minimalist approach, which greatly resembles the Google Chrome web browser. Chrome OS was built for people who spend a majority, if not all, of their time on the computer connected to the Internet. The only application that comes installed on Chrome OS is a special Google Chrome web browser with an integrated media player and file manager. All other applications are accessed by adding apps from the Google Chrome Web Store. Since Chrome OS relies entirely on Google's web apps and access to Google's services, it is highly recommended that you connect to the Internet to optimize your Chrome OS experience.
