Product description Basic Laptops The 11.6" 32GB Multi-Touch 2-in-1 500e Chromebook from Lenovo is a lightweight and compact system with a rotating 360° hinge that lets you use it in multiple viewing modes to fit your needs. It's equipped with a 1.1 GHz Intel Celeron N3450U quad-core processor and 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM for efficient multitasking and everyday tasks. When tackling a heavier workload, the CPU can reach a clock speed of 2.2 GHz. Like most Chromebooks, storage space is limited, so the 500e has 32GB of onboard eMMC flash storage. Should you need more room, you can attach external storage solutions using its USB ports as well as its microSD card reader.
Its 11.6" display, driven by integrated Intel graphics, features a 1366 x 768 resolution, and is built with an IPS (in-plane switching) panel that provides you with wide viewing angles and vivid colors. Moreover, it supports touch inputs so you can utilize touch gestures and commands to enhance its efficiency and accessibility. Other integrated features include 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, two webcams, a microphone, speakers, and a mic/headphone combo jack. The operating system installed is Chrome OS. - Chrome OS
- Using Linux as a base, Google designed Chrome OS to work exclusively with web applications. The user interface takes a minimalist approach, which greatly resembles the Google Chrome web browser. Chrome OS was built for people who spend a majority, if not all, of their time on the computer connected to the Internet. The only application that comes installed on Chrome OS is a special Google Chrome web browser with an integrated media player and file manager. All other applications are accessed by adding apps from the Google Chrome Web Store. Since Chrome OS relies entirely on Google's web apps and access to Google's services, it is highly recommended that you connect to the Internet to optimize your Chrome OS experience.
- Integrated Stylus
- Pressure-sensitive and accurate, the included stylus relies on machine intelligence from Chrome OS to predict where movement will go to provide you with a smoother, "real pen" experience. Moreover, it doesn't need to be charged or paired, so you can share it with others. When it's no longer needed, simply put it back into its dedicated slot.
- Front- & World-Facing Cameras
- The front-facing camera can be used for video calls while the world-facing camera can be used to record and take pictures of what's around you. Its unique design places the rear camera on the keyboard side, so it can take photos while being held like a tablet.
- Corning Gorilla Glass 3
- The display is built with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with Native Damage Resistance, which uses an alkali-aluminosilicate thin sheet glass to better survive real-world accidents. It resists damage and helps prevent the deep chips and scratches that cause glass to break.
- 2-in-1 Design
- Featuring a 2-in-1 design, this Chromebook can be used in laptop, tablet, tent, and entertainment viewing modes to fit your needs.
- Classroom-Tough
- Built with military-grade durability, this Chromebook features rubber bumpers, reinforced ports, and a 360-degree hinge that won't snap under pressure. It's also drop-resistant up to 29.5", which is roughly the height of a school desk.
- Durable Keyboard
- The full-sized keyboard includes a sealed touchpad and resists spills of up to 1.39 cups (330 ml). Moreover, it has mechanically anchored keys that stay put and cannot be pulled off.
- All-Day Battery
- The battery is rated to last up to 10 hours of use on a single charge. Please note that battery life will vary depending on use.
