Product description The Letus35 Ultimate Adapter for PMW-EX1/EX3 is a lens adapter kit that allows PL-mount cinema lenses to be used on Sony PMW-EX1 and EX3 camcorders. This gives the camera the ability to achieve the rich colors and shallow depth of field afforded by pro cinema lenses. The Ultimate offers the highest quality and best features from Letus35 and allows the user to work with an upright image. This kit features a PMW-EX1/EX3 ring, PL lens mount, and is optimized for the V2 rod system. - Shallow Depth of Field
- Shallow depth of field is a very powerful tool for telling a story and getting details across. Many movies use this feature, yet cameras with small CCDs cannot produce this optical effect. The main purpose of this adapter is to bring a shallow depth of field film look to low budget filmmakers with DV or HDV cameras.
- How It Works
- This adapter involves the concept of using a PL mount cinema lens to project an image onto a translucent piece of moving glass. This projected image is then literally focused on by the DV or HDV camera and recorded. All this takes place in a tube.

- Letus35's concentration is on sharp focus, aberration, grain, barrel distortion, audible noise, vibrations and weight, making their adapters an excellent optical accessory.
