The Leupold 2.5x28 FX-II Scout Riflescope is perfectly suited for your scout rifle of guide gun. The extended eye relief gives you the flexibility to mount the scope forward of the receiver which is perfect for lever action firearms. This scope gets you on target fast & delivers a both-eyes-open style of sighting. This makes dealing with moving targets at modest ranges much easier. Dangerous game becomes a little less dangerous when you get the cross hairs on them fast. Leupold's legendary rugged dependability ensures a clear and crisp sight picture regardless of dynamic lighting or climate conditions; this scope is nitrogen purged for absolute water and fog proofing & the main tube is milled from a single piece of aircraft quality aluminum for resistance to dings, bumps and extended periods of serious use in the field. The purity of a fixed power scope with a low profile on your receiver will keep the integrity of your lever gun alive and well while giving you the opportunity & confidence to hit smaller targets at longer distances. To use a riflescope with your firearm, you'll need a mounting base and mounting rings in addition to the scope itself. Bases attach to your firearm and rings attach to your scope. By affixing the scope mounted rings to the rifle mounted base you create a reliable accurate, and secure sighting system. Proper spacing of the rings, as well as the ring height should be considered to ensure a proper line of sight can be established. This will maximize the value of your investment, and enhance your shooting experience.
