Product description Leupold keeps their successful tradition of delivering state-of-the-art sport optics alive with their persistent attention to detail, precision and quality - they pioneered the process of waterproofing optics via nitrogen purging in 1947. Since then and to this day, Leupold continues to push the envelope while producing some of the world's finest sport optics and accessories. Leupold's FX-3 riflescopes offer a spectacular feature-set; an Xtended Twilight lens system with DiamondCoat 2 coatings, blackened lens edges, second generation waterproofing, and cryogenically treated precision adjustments. Additionally, every FX-3 scope is embellished with a special 24k gold-plated ring and medallion. Twilight shooters who like their FOV wide and bright should check out Leupold's FX-3 6x42 riflescope - its simplified configuration combines 6x magnification with a 42mm objective to deliver an outstanding and visually stunning sight picture. This FX-3 scope is configured with a 1.0" main-tube, 1/4 MOA adjustments with 64 MOA of travel, and adjustable objective for parallax correction, a 1/2 MOA Target Dot reticle, and a matte black finish. To use a riflescope with your firearm, you'll need a mounting base and mounting rings in addition to the scope itself. Bases attach to your firearm and the rings attach your scope to the base. Proper spacing of the rings, as well as the ring height should be considered to ensure a proper line of sight can be established. This will maximize the value of your investment, and enhance your shooting experience. It should be noted that in many mounting applications, a professional gunsmith's skills will be needed for proper installation. - 1.0" Main-Tube

This technology offers a longer-term water and fogproofing solution as these gasses exhibit a lower incidence of diffusion for a lifetime of crystal clear viewing under all conditions.
- Wide Duplex Reticle in the Second Focal Plane
- The Wide Duplex reticle features four medium weight posts with intersecting cross hairs for precise shot placement. The tapered posts ensure that your eye is quickly diverted to the center of the sight picture and stand out against dense cover and confusing backgrounds. What makes the Wide Duplex different from the standard Duplex reticle is the larger center gate area. The shorter posts offer a less obstructed field of view for rapid target acquisition. This reticle is positioned in the rear or second focal plane; it does not change dimensions when the scope's magnification is dialed up or down.
