Product description The B&H Binocular Buying Guide Read More The Leupold 8x42 BX-1 McKenzie Binoculars feature phase-corrected BAK4 roof prisms and anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics that work together to produce a versatile and capable optic with bright and clear high-contrast images and accurate color rendition. Coupled with the optical features are 42mm diameter objectives that boost its light-gathering ability without the bulk and weight of larger models, as well as a wide exit pupil and long eye relief, for easy and comfortable use in challenging conditions such as the early morning and late evening. The combination of optics and objectives make the McKenzie ideally suited for most mid-range needs and outdoor activities from hunting, to birding, to sporting events.Complementing the optical performance are construction details that make these binoculars durable and comfortable to use. The lightweight and durable aluminum alloy chassis is protected by a gray rubberized armor that is textured for a non-slip grip. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme changes in temperatures or environmental conditions. A right-eye diopter adjustment and twist-up eyecups allow the binoculars to be customized to most people's needs and can be comfortably used with or without eyewear. For long-term glassing, the McKenzie is tripod mountable with an optional adapter. - Optical Performance
