Product description The B&H Binocular Buying Guide Read More With its ultra-wide exit pupil and exceptionally long eye relief, the Levenhuk 7x50 Sherman Binocular is a great addition to your backpack or hunting kit due to its enhanced performance in low light. Utilizing a more traditional BAK4 Porro design that presents views with a rich depth of field, and anti-reflection multi-coated optics to maximize light transmission, it delivers bright and clear high-contrast images with accurate color rendition across the entire field of view. The long eye relief and wide exit pupil make looking through the Sherman comfortable during extended glassing sessions while ensuring views remain clear and complete even as the light fades and the user's pupils open and fully dilate — which can cause vignetting on optics with narrow exit pupils. The Porro prism design also creates natural positions for the hands which are accentuated with textured palm pads and finger ridges on the rubberized armor to offer a more secure grip. Its optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to make them waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes. Finally, a ribbed and textured center focusing wheel, a ±4 dioptric correction range, and fold-down rubber eyecups ensure precise focusing and eye relief for just about any user regardless of most individual eye prescriptions. - Optical Performance
-
- Moderate 7x magnification helps to provide a comfortable field of view
- Large 50mm objective lenses gather generous amounts of light to boost low-light performance while helping to produce a wide exit pupil
- Traditional Porro prism optical path helps to maintain a rich depth of field versus comparable roof prisms
- BAK4 prisms deliver a round exit pupil, and a crisp and clear image with limited edge distortion
- Anti-reflection multi-coated optics produce accurate color fidelity and improve contrast and image brightness
- 300-foot field of view at 1000 yards
- Use and Handling
-
- Large ribbed and slip-resistant center focusing wheel is easy to manipulate, even when wearing gloves
- ±4 right eye dioptric correction range for precise focus adjustment to most user's individual prescription
- 70-80mm interpupillary distance adjustment range
- Fold-down rubber eyecups for comfortable use with or without eyewear
- Tripod mountable with optional adapter, which reduces arm fatigue, and eliminates hand-shake and other vibrations
- Exceptionally long 24mm eye relief reduces eye strain and makes long-duration glassing sessions comfortable
- Ultra-wide 7.1mm exit pupil will cover pupils when they dilate in low light for clearer views without vignetting
