Product description Offering views that range from lunar craters less than five miles across to distant stars and galaxies, the SkyMatic 127 127mm f/12 Maksutov-Cassegrain GoTo Telescope from Levenhuk is a powerful, versatile, and user-friendly telescope. Its motorized, computer-guided mount can lead you to more than 42,900 celestial objects for observation. The SkyMatic 127's catadioptric design is highly portable and user-friendly, yet this telescope boasts a 1500mm focal length and a generous 127mm (5") aperture. This combination of magnification and light gathering makes the telescope suitable for detailed examination of the Moon and planets, while also affording beautiful views of deep-space objects such as galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters. The Maksutov-Cassegrain optical path design avoids chromatic and spherical aberration, and fully multi-coated optics assure optimal light transmission for a sharp, bright image. Aligning the AZ 114 GT SynScan computer-guided GoTo mount is easy, using either the brightest star or two-star methods. In addition to the GoTo mechanism, the telescope is equipped with a 6x30 optical finderscope to locate objects by sight. The telescope and mount sit atop a stainless steel tripod with a height range of 25-43" and a handy tray for holding eyepieces, filters, a flashlight, etc. - Optical Performance
