Product description The LG Electronics WH16NS40 16x Internal Super Multi Blue Blu-ray Disc Rewriter supports a wide variety of optical media. In addition to writing data to DVD and Blu-ray discs at a speed of 16x, it also supports CD burning, and can write and read large-format quad-, triple-, and double-layer BD-R discs. This Blu-ray burner also supports the playback of 3D Blu-ray discs when used with optional 3D media, 3D glasses, and a 3D display. Built-in 4MB buffer under-run prevention helps to keep disc writing errors to a minimum. - Multi-Blue Compatibility
- LG Super Multi Blue optical drives can read and write four types of disc formats in one convenient package. The four disc types are DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW, DVD-RAM and Blu-ray Disc. This gives you the option of choosing the best media for your tasks.
- BDXL
- The BDXL format supports high-capacity Blu-ray discs (up to 128GB write-once discs) for users that need to store a large amount of data.
- Serial ATA Technology
- Serial ATA is a 1.5 Gb/s replacement for the Parallel ATA physical storage interface used to connect storage devices, such as hard disks and DVD and CD writers to the PC motherboard. Serial ATA is scalable, enables design of smaller PCs, and allows future enhancements to the computing platform.
- M-DISC Technology
- When used with optional M-DISC optical media, M-DISC technology provides a long-term storage solution that retains data much longer than standard media.
