Product description - Sidekick - Before And After
The black Sidekick Duo from Light & Motion is a compact, yet powerful LED light for the GoPro that attaches to your existing GoPro mounts, letting it accompany your camera no matter where the action takes you -- even underwater, thanks to its factory-sealed design that is waterproof to depths of 197'. The light features switchable/adjustable spot and flood modes that gives you the flexibility to control the amount and type of light to suit your POV footage. It provides a 90° flood and 23° spot beam angles above water, and 60° flood and 12° spot beam angles underwater. To adapt to the situation at hand, the light output is adjustable from high, medium, and low output levels, with a maximum output of 600 lumens in flood mode and 400 lumens in spot mode. A two button system makes it easy to switch between modes.
The Sidekick uses a simple bolt extender to attach to the opposite side of a GoPro thumbscrew, making the Sidekick compatible with virtually every GoPro mount. Out-of-the-box it mounts vertically on the side of the camera, but it can also be mounted above the camera using the optional Dive Arm Mount Kit. Other optional accessories include a Cold Shoe/Tripod Kit for mounting on a DSLR or tripod, and a GoPro Mount Adapter for direct mounting to a GoPro three-prong mount.
Weighing less than the GoPro itself, the Sidekick won't hinder your POV action footage. It is powered using an internal lithium-ion battery that enables continuous run times up to four hours in the Low output setting. The battery is recharged using an included charging cable that slides onto the Sidekick and plugs into any standard USB wall charger. Charging time for a depleted battery is approximately 4.5 hours. A colored LED indicator clearly displays battery levels during use and when charging. - FL-1 Certification
