Product description A Guide to On-Camera Flash Read More With an integrated 2.4GHz radio system and a detachable transmitter, the white FlashQ Q20 Flash from LightPix Labs makes it exceptionally easy to move from on-camera to off-camera flash. A part of the FlashQ System, the Q20 is a flash that offers excellent wireless functionality in a compact form factor. It also features a two-part design so that users can quickly detach the flash and place it anywhere they like while leaving the transmitter in the hot shoe. This transmitter can even remotely adjust the flash power from 1/1 to 1/64 while the flash body has a rectangular design that can stand on its own along with a 1/4"-20 thread for stands.
The compact flash features excellent performance with a guide number of 66' at ISO 100 and coverage for lenses as wide as 32mm on full-frame. The head can be tilted upwards 90° for bounce flash and features a built-in filter holder for the six included color gels. For video work the flash is equipped with an LED light with a max output of 60 lux at 3.3' and can be set to one of seven output levels. Wireless radio support is the main method of triggering the unit with a range of 33', but it also offers optical slave modes for working with other flash systems. Additionally, it runs on two AA batteries which offer recycle times of about 7 seconds at full power and can provide power for about 100-2000 flashes or an hour of constant LED light before needing to be replaced.
