Product description The Line 6 Powercab 112 Plus is an active 1x12 amplifier cabinet that works with amp modelers, amp profilers, and amp-simulation pedals. It's designed to provide emulations of six classic speaker types including a Vintage 30, a Greenback, a Creamback, a Blue Bell, and more. Switching speakers is just as easy as clicking a button, or clicking a MIDI switch, should you decide to implement MIDI. The Powercab 112 Plus not only sports two combination inputs, but a bevy of connection points, including 5-pin DIN MIDI I/O, an XLR output with emulated speaker for the house, USB, and AES/EBU digital for sidestepping any latency between the analog connections of multiple modeling units. This ensures you don't go through an unnecessary stage of digital-to-analog conversion between your amp-emulator and the Powercab. For more descriptions of the cabinet's capabilities, please peruse the features below. - Coaxial Speaker with PA Frequency Range
- The unit sports a custom hybrid coaxial speaker with a lightweight cone and a high-temperature 2" voice coil. The voice coil delivers the punch and dynamic response you expect from a guitar cabinet, but with the extended range of a P.A. speaker.
- Flat Mode for Your Cabinet IRs
- In Flat Mode, the cabinet delivers a neutral frequency response from 70 Hz to 20 kHz with plenty of headroom. This design mitigates any need to adjust your amp modeler's IR settings; your presets will sound just the way you expect them to sound.
- Traditional Look
- Unlike many other powered cabinets currently used with modelers, Powercabs don't resemble P.A. speakers. Instead, they feature familiar touches such as grill cloths and flip-out kickstands for angling.
- Lightweight for the Road
- Constructed of plywood and featuring curved backs that add rigidity while decreasing weight, the cabinet is designed to withstand the rigors of the road. It's relatively lightweight at 35.5 lb and small enough to carry in one hand. Still, it's loud enough to fill small clubs and medium-sized venues. The cabinet also features XLR outputs with microphone emulation for feeding the FOH.
- 128 Storable/Recallable Presets
- The Powercab 112 Plus can load and store up to 128 third-party cabinet simulation impulse responses, which may be stored in presets. IRs can be customized using the free Powercab Edit software for macOS and Windows.
- MIDI Switching
- The Powercab 112 Plus allows you to store the mode, display color, and all parameter settings in one of its 128 preset locations, each of which can be selected manually or recalled via MIDI.
- Low-Latency Audio Interface
- The Powercab 112 Plus functions as a 16-bit low-latency stereo USB 2.0 audio interface that is compatible with all major DAW software as well as iPad and iPhone mobile devices. It supports both 44.1 and 48 kHz sample rates. Connectivity with iPad and iPhone mobile devices requires an Apple Camera Connection Kit USB adapter (available separately).
- MIDI PC and CC Messaging
- The Powercab 112 Plus not only responds to MIDI Program Change messages, it also supports Control Change messages, allowing complete remote control over various global functions and settings, as well as extensive preset editing capabilities.
- AES/EBU Connections
- The Powercab 112 Plus can connect to any professional modeler equipped with AES/EBU capabilities to reduce both latency and noise levels by avoiding digital-to-analog conversion.
