Product description It would be hard to conceive of a better ungeared 3-way head for medium and large format applications than Linhof's remarkably precise, natural 3-Way Leveling Head I. Combining flexibility and low weight with extremely compact size and maximum stability, the Linhof's eccentric locking levers positively secure your camera anywhere. The precarious angles at which you place your camera may affect your tripod legs' capacity to hold, but to this head it is not relevant. It easily holds cameras with telephoto lenses and view cameras up to 5x7, and is especially suitable for precise camera adjustments in copy work. All three axes of movement lock separately from one another. In use, the head's intuitive nature shines with simplicity. Nothing protrudes and nothing can fall off the unit. Use it in the configuration you prefer, though right-handed shooters generally prefer the up/down axis' lever closest to their body and the left/right axis' lever falling to their left.77mm (3.0") diameter top plate with 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 camera screws. 77mm (3.0") diameter base plate. - Easily manipulated while wearing gloves or mittens
