Product description The Linhof 001905 Protection Ring is for use exclusively with the #000913 Technorama Super-Symmar XL f/5.6 110mm lens upon the Technorama 617S camera. The protection ring has a tripod mount for the Technorama 617S upon the top of the base plate, and a normal 1/4"-20 threaded tripod socket on the bottom for use upon a tripod. You fit the Technorama 617S to the tripod screw on the protection ring, and this places the metal ring in perfect position to do its job. The Technorama's lenses are very expensive and sensitive to alignment, and using the protection ring adds a great measure of safety for the optics and mechanics when in the field, in a crowd, or just removing or packing the camera/lens. - Fitted exclusively to the Technorama 617S with the Technorama Super-Symmar 110mm f/5.6 XL
