Product description The Link Electronics Dual MD SDI Distribution Amplifier regenerates error signals that get attenuated when carried over long distances via cables. In addition to being compatible with video signals such as SMPTE 259M, 344M, and 292M, it also supports SD signals up to 250' at 270 MBps and HD up to 100 feet at 1.485 GBps. The amplifier can be used with 8 outputs or as a dual MD SD SDI distribution amplifier (each with 4 outputs) and as a DVB-ASI distribution amplifier. It can also be used as a 2 x 1 HD SD video switcher or an SDI input video presence detector.The Dual MD SDI Distribution Amplifier resurrects the error signal by automatic equalization, re-clocking, and DC restoration. Various functions of the amplifier are controlled via the frame dashboard. Located on the front card edge are LED buttons that indicate the different operating conditions and signals that are locked. - Regenerates error signals that get attenuated when carried over long distances via cables
