Product description The Link Electronics LEI-564 AFD Insert / Pass / Delete is a 1 RU that adds, detects and deletes AFD (Active Format Description) configurations in the HD/SD video signals. It also regenerates the video payload identifier (SMPTE 352M) that is used to describe the video formats. Suitable for use in video production and digital display systems, the device supports video signal formats such as 270 MBps SD and 1.5GBps HD. With 4 modes of operation (Detect, Insert, Delete, and Auto), the LEI-564 AFD Insert / Pass / Delete auto detects SD and HD video standards and converts them to the desired standards for transmission. In Detect mode, the device checks for current AFD configurations while in the Auto mode, AFD configurations are added it in if they are absent. The AFD inserted in the HD/SD video signals carries information about display characteristics such as aspect ratio, brightness etc. The LEI-564 AFD Insert / Pass / Delete can be controlled by an 8-character display with menu navigation by 2 buttons and a rotary encoder. - 1 RU that adds, detects and deletes AFD (Active Format Description) configurations in HD/SD video signals
