Product description The Link Electronics Master Sync Generator is a multi-format signal generator offering bi-level (SD black burst) or tri-level (HD sync) inputs and HD YUV or RGB Analog outputs with bi-level or tri-level sync, thus timing both SD and HD source videos in a system. Thanks to FPGA (Field-programmable Gate Array) technology, the generator provides the excellent performance for all 30 test patterns, including SMPTE, EIA, and Full Field Bars. It can operate as a stand-alone or a genlock unit with a pair of looping BNC connectors on the rear panel. Moreover, it automatically detects and locks depending on the reference input. The master sync generator automatically modifies the output format to the closest format that is genlockable to the reference, and is equipped with an infinite genlock timing range for both horizontal and vertical with an indication, making it ideal for timing the signal into the studio facility. The Master Sync Generator is equipped with 23 different HD formats and unit identification that can uniquely identify up to 100 different units. Adjustments can be easily made to the generator using the front panel control buttons and the rotary encoder knob. The front panel, 8-character LED display shows the function under adjustment, whereas the 2 push-button switches are for the "Escape" and "Enter" functions. - Bi-level (SD black burst) / tri-level (HD sync) inputs
