Product description The Link Electronics PCD-88 is a portable closed caption decoder for the NTSC system; data channels and text select are offered for user selection. The required input signal is composite video with caption data on line 21 of field one. Note: Optional power supply (such as PWT-300) purchased separately - LED Read Out
- Four LEDs indicate which channel is selected CC1, CC2, T1 or T2.
- Time Out
- An automatic caption "Time Out" function will erase displayed captions after 15 seconds if no new data is received.
- Application
- This device is useful when a monitor without a Closed Caption decoder is used in broadcast monitoring; this device can be mounted close to the monitor because of its compact size.
- Usage
- The input is high impedance looping configured as single ended, AC coupled, to work in all environments. The remaining BNC connector must be terminated with 75Ω. A regulated 12VDC power supply, such as the Link PWT-300, is included. The PWT-300 operates on AC power from 90 to 240VAC.
