The 5000: 8-Ply Handheld Matte Cutter from Logan Graphics is an innovative and user-friendly way to cut perfect mattes each time. This unique cutter is designed for both 8 and 4 ply boards and features a comfortable grip. One of the most interesting features of this cutter is the magnetic blade changing mechanism. With a simple twist of a thumb screw, the blade cartridge is released and easily extracted from the cutter. No more dangerous fumbling when grabbing blades and needlessly cutting your fingers. Slip the blade off the cartridge and replace it. The process is quick, easy and safe.For cutting, align your frame lines accordingly and when you're ready to cut, depress the blade cartridge that contains blade depth control and begin your cut. Start and stop indicators are provided so there's never a worry about overcuts. For even more ease of use, the blade cartridge easily flips for 4 ply or 8 ply cuts. - Works on 4 or 8 ply boards with a simple flip
