Product description The Diana Cable Release Adapter from Lomography keeps your Diana camera steady and shake-free when taking long exposures and can also be used to take self-portraits. The Diana Cable Release Adapter is actually two components: the shutter release cable and the cable collar. The shutter release cable is the plunger type and the collar attaches to the front of the Diana camera body and provides the adapter in which to plug the cable pin. If that sounds complicated, it's not. Everything about the Diana camera and its accessories is designed to be fun and easy to use. The cable release is held in hand (or mouth!) and will hold an exposure as long as you keep the plunger down. It also has a locking mechanism to use with long exposures in order to guarantee steady shots. The locking mechanism is activated and released by turning the plunger disc. Use the shutter release cable when shooting at night or for creative long exposures on a tripod or use it for quick exposures when you want to maintain eye contact with your subject. Of course, you can also sneak out in front of your camera and use it to take a self-portrait the "old-time" way.
