While the film formats can be swapped at will, the rest of the camera system is based upon the LC-A+'s attributes, including its wide-angle Minitar 1 32mm f/2.8 lens, fully automated exposure settings, and the ability to take multiple or long exposures. Film speeds up to ISO 1600 are supported, along with shutter speeds up to 1/500 sec. Additionally, a hot shoe is also available for attaching an optional external flash. - The original LC-A+ has been fitted to accept the instant back, and also includes the conventional camera back for use with 35mm film. Either back can be used interchangeably, however the current film in use should be finished and removed prior to attaching the other back.
- Minitar 1 32mm f/2.8 lens offers a standard wide-angle perspective and lends the LC-A+ its distinct look, with dreamy colors, edge vignetting, and high contrast.
- Shutter speeds up to 1/500 sec. are available with auto-exposure metering, as well as a bulb setting for performing long exposures with the included cable release and integrated tripod mount.
- A multiple exposure switch allows you to record sequential exposures to the same frame without having to wind in between exposures.
- Film speeds from ISO 100 to ISO 1600 are supported.
- A hot shoe is incorporated into the camera's design for attaching an optional external flash.
- A host of accessory lenses can be used for additional creative results, and all are compatible with both 35mm and instant film formats.

- Dedicated instant film back is designed to accept Fujifilm Instax mini film and supports all controls and settings from the host camera for creative results using instant film.
- Attaches directly to the back of the LC-A+ after removing the original film back used for 35mm film.
