Product description The ASK-4 #401 Audio Monitoring Kit from Louroe Electronics is a single-zone audio monitoring system that consists of an APR-1 Audio Base Station, 2 Verifact A Microphones, a RN-2 Microphone Mixer, an AD-1 Plug-in Switching AC Adapter, and a Dual RCA Connector Cable for connecting to a DVR / VCR or other audio source that accept line level audio input. It is suitable for use in convenience stores, police interview rooms, booking rooms, fast food restaurants, casino soft count rooms, speech therapy labs, or anyplace where CCTV cameras are installed.The APR-1 Desktop Audio Base Station is a single-zone, non-alarming audio monitoring base station. As a system (with a Louroe microphone), it provides 1-way live audio with a built-in 3" (7.62cm) speaker. It contains input / output jacks for connecting to a DVR / VCR that accept line level input for audio recording and playback. Other features include adjustable volume control and a 3.5mm headphone jack. A mute switch is also provided to mute the audio heard on the speaker of the headset. The distance between the APR-1 and the microphone can be up to 1,000' (305m).The Verifact A Microphone is an omni-directional, low impedance, electret condenser microphone with a built-in preamp for producing line level output. It is housed in a high impact ABS dome designed for ceiling or wall mounting. The normal pick-up pattern is approximately 15' (4.57m) from the microphone location towards all directions, or within a 30' (9.14m) diameter circle.The RN-2 Audio Mixer is used for combining 2 Louroe microphones or speaker / microphones for the purpose of expanding the area to be audio monitored. It has an input side (terminal block) for accepting 2 microphones and an output side (terminal block) for home running back to a Louroe Audio Base Station or to other audio receiving devices. The RN-2 Audio Mixer contains a potentiometer for microphone balance control. The RN-2 Audio Mixer receives phantom power from the Louroe Base Station. Note: The APR-1 Base Station can be equipped with the 19" (48.26cm) RM-1935 Rack Mount assembly (sold separately).
The RN-2 combines the audio signals picked up by the two microphones and does not function as a 2-channel audio base station.
Wiring Requirements: 2 conductor shielded cable, 22 gauge with a 24 gauge drain wire. Unshielded cable is not suitable for audio systems.
When this equipment is used as part of an audio monitoring system, the law requires that the public be given notice of AUDIO MONITORING ON THE PREMISES. A decal notice is included with each microphone shipped. - APR-1 Audio Base Station
