Product description With the highest magnification and largest objectives in the series, the Luna Optics LN-NVB3 3x42 Gen-1 Night Vision Binocular is equipped with dual Gen 1 intensifier tubes and a relatively moderate magnification that pushes its reach to almost 1000-feet while still maintaining a respectable field of view. An adjustable IR illuminator allows you to change the beam shape from a wide flood for close-up use, to a tight spot for a maximum throw, in complete darkness. For safety, Luna installed a sensor that constantly measures the amount of ambient light to prevent the unit from being turned on in daylight - protecting against damage to the tubes and prolonging their life.Individually focusing eyepieces and objectives ensure crisp and clear images, while winged eye-cups prevents ambient peripheral light from leaking into the corners of your vision for brighter images with improved contrast. A standard 1/4"-20 tripod mount on the bottom enables easy hands and fatigue-free use for long-duration observation sessions. The housing is IPX4-rated to be water-resistant, and raised textured palm-pads provide an improved slip-resistant grip. This NVD is powered by a single included CR123 lithium disposable battery — use of rechargeable batteries is prohibited as damage to the system can result - Night Vision Capabilities
