Product description The 7 Slot PCI Expansion Unit with PCI Host Card & Single PS from Magma is a 4U, rack mountable chassis that allows you to plug-in up to seven full-sized power-demanding PCI cards and up to seven 3.5" hard drives in an external enclosure. It is a proven method to increase PCI capability without losing performance. The PCI host card provides easy connection to desktop computers and servers. Even with the introduction of more robust desktop computers and servers, increased I/O capability is required by professionals. This host card is ideal with more PCI slots than a typical computer. If you have a powerful application that requires the use of several PCI cards, you can increase the number of PCI slots in your system with the Magma PCI Expansion Unit. The use of computer specific host cards makes using your PCI cards and hard drives as simple as plug and play. All you need to do is connect the PCI Expansion Unit to the host card of your computer and turn it on. You can use the same set of PCI cards on your laptop as you do on your desktop or server by simply adding a Magma host card and connecting the cable. The auto-switching power supply allows you to work internationally by simply adding a power cord plug adapter. Setting up your PCI cards and data in one chassis gives you an opportunity to use a consistent hardware configuration regardless of the type of computer available.
