The head has a load capacity of 2.5 lb, which is suitable for point-and-shoot or mirrorless cameras. At the same time, this compact tripod works in tandem with an optional smart phone adapter to take selfies or can be used as an alternative option to expensive light stands for an off-camera flash system. The 3-section, aluminum legs have flip locks that open so you can extend the tripod's legs along with the rapid center column to a maximum height of 52.5". The center brace locks into place adding stability to the tripod. Collapsing the legs and center column gives the 1.4 lb tripod a minimum height of 18" and a folded length of 19.5".
