With its legs locked in place by the locking lever, it rests sturdily on a table top or almost any surface, offering a maximum height of 3.3" (8.4 cm). By angling the mounting head, the ShearPod can be used on uneven surfaces without toppling over. SureGrip rubber feet provide stability and a 1/4"-20 mounting thread accepts most compact cameras.
