The tripod features a Quick Power Lock System, ground level adapter, and an Easy Link attachment. It can hold up to 15.4 lb of gear, and has a maximum height of 68". The ground-level adapter replaces the center column to allow the tripod's mounting plate to sit just 8.5" above the ground with the legs at their widest angle.
The QPL system allows the three leg sections to be completely extended with one hand for simple set up. An Easy Link adapter attachment allows instant connection between tripod and accessories, such as LED lights for macro photography and DSLR video applications using Manfrotto articulated arms and brackets. Each leg can be set at four different angles to accommodate uneven ground or rough terrain.
The head is a magnesium alloy ball head that weighs 1.4 lb yet is capable of supporting 35 lb. Designed to meet the demands of photographers who want maximum control with minimal effort, the 468MG uses a hydraulic system that requires very little force for a strong lock-down. The head features tension adjustment and 360 degree panning with a separate lock and a lateral tilt range of -90° / +90°. It comes with a retractable camera screw that will fit 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 female threads. - Manfrotto MT190X3 Aluminum Tripod The Manfrotto MT190X3 Aluminum Tripod is an addition to the popular 190 series, adding a Quick Power Lock System, ground level adapter, and an Easy Link attachment. By loosening the 468MG Hydrostatic Ball Head's primary locking knob, the ball-and-socket joint can be quickly swiveled, angled, fully tilted, or returned to its upright position. An additional knob set within that locking knob can be rotated to apply tension control to the ball-and-socket joint's movements. Along the opposite side of the ball head, a secondary locking knob controls the ability to rotate the head 360°.
The 468MG Hydrostatic Ball Head's rubberized, non-slip platform includes a 1/4"-20 mount inside a spring-loaded 3/8"-16 expansion sleeve. When securing cameras, lenses, sport optics, or accessories that feature 1/4"-20 female accessory threads to the ball head, the expansion sleeve is automatically depressed, allowing those devices to be firmly attached. For items with 3/8"-16 female accessory threads, the expansion sleeve remains engaged and provides a reliable connection point that is reinforced by the 1/4"-20 mount.
An integrated thumbwheel under the ball head's platform allows both the mount and expansion sleeve, or the mount alone, to be screwed into a corresponding accessory thread. This permits a camera, lens, or sport optic to be attached to the 468MG Hydrostatic Ball Head while it is simultaneously pointed in the subject's direction. To further promote fast and repeatable device positioning, the ball head's platform is engraved with an angle scale along its outer rim. -
