Alexa Voice Command
• Ask Alexa to play music from Pandora, Spotify, Amazon Music, and much more. Switch between inputs, turn volume up or down, pause, mute and play the next song, all with your voice. To start streaming with Alexa voice commands, the HEOS Home Entertainment skill must be added and activated via the Alexa app.

Google Assistant Voice Control
• Ask your Google Assistant-enabled device to control content across your listening environment. Start music in the HEOS app, then ask your Google Assistant to control volume, playback, and more.

AirPlay 2 with Siri Compatibility
• Stream audio from your favorite music services like Apple Music and Spotify, or watch videos from services like YouTube and Netflix from any compatible iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV device, and hear the audio synced to your sources. AirPlay 2 also supports multi-room audio, enabling you to wirelessly stream content to multiple AirPlay 2-compatible devices simultaneously with smooth playback. AirPlay 2 provides control and grouping of compatible devices within the Apple Music or Home apps. Use AirPlay 2 in-app or with your voice via Siri.

Josh.ai Smart Home Voice Automation
• Josh.ai is designed to offer flexible voice control for nearly any aspect of your day-to-day experience and entertainment environment. Use voice commands to control your thermostat, lights, appliances, speakers, receiver, and more. Josh.ai is installed by custom integrators and accessed through an app on your compatible iOS or Android phone or tablet.

5-Channel Discrete Amplifier with Eco Mode
• The power amp section features discrete high current power output devices, identical on all 5 channels for precision soundstage uniformity. Rated at 50W per channel, the NR1509 features low impedance drive capability and is compatible with 4 Ohm speakers. The Eco mode provides energy savings and features an on-screen Eco meter.

HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision, and HDCP 2.2 Compatible
• Featuring six HDMI inputs, including one conveniently located on the front panel, the NR1509 incorporates an advanced video section that features support for 4K Ultra HD 60 Hz full rate video, 4:4:4 Pure Color sub-sampling, BT.2020, HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision compatible pass-through. The NR1509 also features HDCP 2.2 compatibility, a requirement for 4K Ultra HD copy-protected content. The NR1509 also features Audio Return Channel (ARC), which lets you stream audio from your TV via a single HDMI connection, without the need for a separate digital audio cable.

Built-In Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and AirPlay Capability
• Equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless streaming connectivity, the NR1509 features a dual-antenna RF transceiver system for robust streaming, even in congested environments. With AirPlay, you can enjoy your favorite tracks wirelessly from your favorite iOS device. AirPlay 2 enables multi-music streaming over connected compatible equipment, including your Apple HomePod speakers, and is scheduled to be made available via a future firmware update.

HEOS Wireless Multi-Room Streaming
• With built-in HEOS technology, you can share music stored on your home network, Internet radio, or streaming services with your HEOS wireless speakers or other HEOS-capable receivers throughout the house, and control it all with the free HEOS app. Supported services include TuneIn, Internet radio, and a range of streaming services, including Pandora, Spotify, Amazon Prime Music, iHeartRadio, SiriusXM, SoundCloud, Tidal, Napster, and Deezer.

Compatible with Amazon Alexa Voice Command
• Amazon Alexa's Smart Home Skill for Entertainment Devices enables voice commands to control a range of functions on the receiver, including volume control, transport control, mute, next track, and external input switching.

Marantz 2016 AVR Remote App
• The Marantz 2016 AVR Remote app is designed to give you enhanced command and control over your compatible Marantz receiver. You can control the basic functions of the NR1509 with power, volume, input, and setting adjustment. Within the app, you can switch directly to the HEOS app to access control over your music contents and streaming services, plus HEOS wireless multi-room control.

Hi-Res Audio
• The NR1509 lets you discover the fidelity of high resolution audio tracks with the ability to decode ALAC, FLAC, and WAV lossless files up to 24-bit/192 kHz, as well as DSD 2.8 and 5.6 MHz tracks (the audiophile format of SACD) via the front-panel USB port and network sources. You can also listen to other popular file types, such as MP3.

Audyssey MultEQ for a Simplified Setup
• Via the supplied measuring microphone, Audyssey MultEQ measures all the speakers in your home theater during setup, including the subwoofer, and then generates multiple DSP room acoustic correction filters, helping to provide a smooth, natural tonal balance. Audyssey Dynamic EQ features psycho-acoustic processing to deliver full-range clear dialogue and wide-band response, even at reduced volume levels, for enhanced clarity. At the same time, Audyssey Dynamic Volume avoids jumps in volume when what you're watching switches from content to commercials or announcements, creating an easier listening experience.

Dual Subwoofer Outputs
• The NR1509 supports two subwoofers; used in different locations within the main room, these will even out the low-frequency response for enhanced bass accuracy nearly anywhere in the listening area.

Smart TV Connectivity
• Via the HDMI CEC (consumer electronics control) functionality on some smart TVs, it's possible to control the NR1509 with the TV's remote handset. With the receiver's "HDMI control" set to ON, select "Smart Menu" receiver control functions and the TV's Smart Menu home screen will provide you direct access to source and surround mode selections, the main setup menu, and Smart Select configuration presets.

Smart Select Functions
• There are four Smart Select function buttons on the front panel and the remote control; each one will store your preferred setup – input, volume, and Audyssey configuration – for a particular source. With the push of just one button, you can have the NR1509 configured for anything from Blu-ray or your TV's set-top box to your favorite Internet radio station.

• The graphical on-screen display is designed to be clear and easy to understand as it guides you through the setup process. The Setup Assistant and Quick Start Guide combine to help ease setup, optimizing critical settings for enhanced sound quality, whatever your configuration.
