Product description The Marantz Professional Audio Scope SG-5BC is a battery-powered short shotgun microphone offering variable directivity and low visibility for sound recordists, filmmakers, and content creators in ENG, EFP, and various audio-for-video productions. Its lightweight body is compact and durable, making it ideal for mounting on a camera or boompole—it even includes multiple mic clips to accommodate such scenarios. Powered via a AA battery (available separately), the electret condenser element yields a frequency response of 70 Hz to 16 kHz, naturally attenuating extreme low and high frequencies for a clear, intelligible tone. The selectable cardioid or supercardioid polar pattern provides customizable rejection of off-axis sounds such as room ambience or environmental noise. Reduce wind noise and plosives by fitting the supplied windscreen to the SG-5BC. The microphone's attached cable is terminated with a 3.5mm TS connector to ensure compatibility with mic inputs on a variety of cameras, portable recorders, and wireless transmitters. - Short shotgun style with excellent off-axis rejection
