Product description Combining a 6.5" screen with a lightweight design and 10-bit processing of analog signals, the Marshall 6.5" On-Camera Monitor with 3G-SDI & BP-900 Series Type Battery Mount features composite, component, and SDI inputs and outputs. The front of the monitor incorporates four user configurable buttons for quick access to often used menu functions. The display panel features a 500:1 contrast ratio and 650 nit brightness for a sharp clear image, and the screen is designed to minimize light reflections so it is suitable for use indoors or outdoors.
The panel features a wide viewing angle of 160 by 140° so you can view your image comfortably with seeing significant shifts in color or contrast. The monitor incorporates various camera support viewing modes such as peaking, false color, and RGB check field, and supports user selectable 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratios with adjustable on screen markers. As the panel is smaller than 1920 x 1080, the monitor scales full HD video signals to fit on the screen, however a pixel-to-pixel mode allows you to selectively view parts of your image without scaling artifacts, while an optical-grade polycarbonate screen protects the surface of the panel from the normal rigors of production. - Super Transflective
- Designed specifically for outdoor applications with high ambient light, Marshall's outdoor super-transmissive LCDs provide improved visibility by producing high-contrast images and a wider viewing angle, even under diverse and challenging lighting environments.
- False Color
- The False Color filter is used to aid in the setting of camera exposure. As the camera iris is adjusted, elements of the image will change color based on the luminance or brightness values, providing the camera operater with a visual exposure reference.
- Peaking Filter
- The Peaking Filter is used to aid the camera operator in obtaining the sharpest possible picture. When activated, all color will be removed from the display and a black-and-white image will remain. The internal processor will display RED color on the screen where sharp edges appear. When the camera operator adjusts (or "racks") the focus, different parts of the image will have RED colored edges. This indicates that this portion of the image is sharp or in focus.
- Battery Compatibility
- This unit features a battery mount for Canon BP-900 Type batteries. This model's battery mount and optional battery mounts provide a total of nine different battery configurations for providing mobile operation in the field. Marshall's battery adapters can be interchanged (or "swapped out") by the end-user.
- Scratch Resistant Screen
- An optical-grade screen protects the surface of the far more delicate LCD panel. This makes the monitor's screen scratch resistant, obviating the need for optional aftermarket panel protectors that may offer inferior optical quality.
