Product description The Marshall Electronics ORCHID 9" LCD Field Monitor is a rack mountable and portable camera top monitor with dual 3G-SDI inputs. It is equipped with a real-time waveform monitor and a color vectorscope and offers a brightness of 350 cd/m2 and contrast ratio of 1000:1. Offering resolutions of up to 960 x 540, it allows you to view HD video formats (1920 x 1080) without scaling artifacts. In addition to an aspect ratio of 16:9, the Orchid LCD Field monitor can automatically adapt to the input resolution of the incoming video signals.
Using the waveform monitor, you can view waveform in different aspect ratios, positions, and transparency options. In addition to brightness monitoring, it also monitors overexposure or "blacker-than-black" errors. With the built-in vectorscope, you can view X-Y plot of two signals and observe the color gamut (subset of colors) in real time. In addition, signals can be displayed in full color as well as in various sizes, positions, and transparency options.
Designed for use in the production of 3D content, the 9" ORCHID LCD Field Monitor comes with five 3D production views (left eye, right eye, blending, luminance difference, and chroma difference), and 4 anaglyph 3D displays (color, half color, optimized, and gray).
With both user-programmable upper and lower Clip Guide levels, you can precisely view over-and-under exposures under varying shooting conditions. By fixing the upper clip guide limit to 85 IRE, you can view any exposure over 85 IRE in red on the waveform, while any exposure below 10 IRE will be displayed in black. The Precision Gamma feature corrects the 3 non-linear colors (RGB) simultaneously and provides accurate matching between panels and channels.
The OR-901-3GSDI monitor uses 16 tri-color audio meters (64-segment) with adjustable reference levels and displays up to 16 audio channels. With a default white balance of D65 (6500K), you don't need to adjust the white balance to obtain accurate colors.
Turning on the G-Marker will display a grid generated by the internal gyroscope that corresponds to the horizon. Using this grid, you can accurately level the camera and monitor.
A rotary menu system and 9 user-assignable function keys allow for easy menu navigation. The LCD field monitor features auto sensing 3G-SDI inputs with re-clocked output and supports 3 different battery adaptors. In addition, it also features front and rear panel audio output for simultaneous monitoring of any 2 channels. - HDMI input with pass-through
