Product description The BlueFox3 USB3 Vision Camera from MATRIX VISION is an area scan machine vision camera for inspecting products on assembly lines, gauging and measuring quality, inspecting defects, label inspection on bottles, and more. It allows you to get a physical image of a product onto the computer in two-dimensional space and measure accuracy/inaccuracy by counting the number of pixels. Featuring a C-mount lens mount, the BlueFox3 supports any C-mount lens, including a wide range of MATRIX VISION telecentric lenses. MATRIX VISION is part of the AIA Machine Vision Trade Association.
This version of the camera features a 8.9MP, 1" sensor, 42 Hz frame rate, on-board monochrome processing, and a 12-pin I/O connector on the back for power input, trigger input, and trigger output. (An optional Hirose cable, such as model # RTKS-BCX-HR12-05.0, is required for the I/O connection). The camera captures images at a resolution of 4112 x 2176 but also allows for area of interest selection, as well as binning, and decimation via software. This high frame rate version also has a burst mode function that buffers the acquired images and decouples the acquisition from the image output, allowing the sensor's maximum frame rate to be used independently of the available bandwidth.
The camera has large RAM and FPGA (field-programmable) integrated boards that provide for reliable processing and customization. The FPGA board reduces the CPU load and allows for more functions to be added. The camera also has a fully GenICam compliant mvIMPACT SDK that enables even more flexibility -- complete documentation of the SDK gives you access to many special camera features that could simplify your vision system development. The camera's driver is also compatible with a wide range of 3rd-party software, including those from Halcon, Matlab, and Labview. Note: Lens is not included.
