Product description The SA-2 Dialog Processor from McDSP is a plug-in based on the hardware originally conceived by Academy Award winning recording mixer Mike Minkler. Used on over one hundred major motion pictures, the software is designed to improve the overall sound of recorded speech, be it in a movie, television show, documentary, or for that matter, any creative media production involving the spoken word. It is equally useful for vocals, it can be used for adjusting the timbre of any track, and it delivers a de-esser and a multi-frequency compressor.
The processor is made up of five-bands of specifically placed active equalization, configured in a variety of modes to best address common issues of dialog. Each band has a threshold control to determine at what signal level the active equalizer begins to affect the signal, and an enable button to quickly audition the effect of any given band. Two mode selectors allow for controlling the ballistics of the active equalization, and for placing the five bands at specific points in the frequency spectrum. Finally, input and output controls are available for overall adjustment. - Five independent bands of strategic active equalization
